New Delhi, July 13: Amity Institute of Education, New Delhi jointly with Maastricht School of Management, Netherlands started a two-week refresher course titled ‘Training the Trainers in Executive Education” from July 13 to 23 at Amity University, Sector- 125, Noida.
Funded by NUFFIC (Netherlands Universities Foundation for International Cooperation), a non profit professional organization aimed at making education accessible all over the world, the course aims to improve the efficiency of the trainers; equipping them with a wide array of skills and tools so that they can further impart training and education with more analytical, technical and managerial insight, said an Amity spokesperson.
The course will help the trainers to gain an insight into their abilities and potentials as leaders and entrepreneurs.
Welcoming the participants from India and other Asian counties, Dr Ranjana Bhatia- Director, Amity Institute of Education said that the participants of the course will learn immensely during the two week course which includes components of secondary teacher training, elementary teacher training, nursery teacher training and to some extent pre- nursery teacher training. The course will apprise the participants with all the requisites to be possessed by an effective teacher trainer.
Sharing her views about the importance of such a course, Miriam J G Fijns – Consultant and Trainer, Maastricht School of Management said that due to globalization the boundaries between different countries are receding; world is changing at a rapid pace but unfortunately, education worldwide is not keeping up with the pace which brings forth the need of short term refresher courses for trainers.
